Mother's Day
"It's A Family Thing!"

and Family Ministries
The mid-week Bible will be held
on Wednesday evenings at 7:00
p.m. at the home of Steve &
Patricia Ohlund at 62 Guilliver
Circle. C. S. Lewis' Mere
Christianity will be the topic. No
need to have read the book
before hand. Just come for the
fellowship and discussion.
Copies of the book will be
available.
Our Sunday School Classes,
including the adult Bible Study
are in full swing. We have
classes for all ages, so please
come and join us on Sunday
mornings at 9:15 a.m.
We provide child care for our
Sunday Worship Service.
Children in third grade and below
will be met at the side of the
sanctuary and led down to our
nursery.
Our Youth Group has not met
over the last month, but we hope
to be having some activities
again soon. Watch for the next
meeting date to be announced.

Our Sports Ministries
Softball Season Is Here!
Find your glove, put on some sweats and join
us as we celebrate our 21st season in the
Church Softball League.
The league is open to anyone over the age of
16. Games are played on weeknights at 6:00
pm at the Taftville Reservoir Fields.
Contact us here at the church office if you are
interested in playing on the First Baptist
Church team. Registration is $40.00 per
person.
Holy Rollers Bowling League
beginning Soon!
The Holy Rollers will open their 17th season
in June and you are invited to join us. You do
not have to belong to the church to join.
Invite your friends and let's have a ball.
We have mixed teams of four in a handicap
league. We bowl through the summer on
Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm.
The cost is approx. $14 a week which
includes a banquet at the end of the season.
Sign up at church if you want to bowl.

Mexico team. We will also enjoy
stawberry shortcake and good
fellowship. This year's gathering
will be at Central Baptist Church.
Come and receive a special gift
from the mission team as a thank
you for your prayers and financial
support.

June 1 - Half Century Celebration
We will celebrate the 50th
birthday of over a dozen of our
members and friends during
worship. We will also look back at
1958 and see what was
happening in society and in
church. We will also recognize
our fifty year members. Finally,
we are going to recognize our
couples who have been married
50 years or more. So be sure to
join us for this exciting
celebration!

Amy Hollis at 4:00 pm at the
Essex Baptist Church. If you
would like to attend speak to the
Pastor. We can ride up together.
