Erica's Clothing Closet
The mission behind the Clothing Closet is to be able to offer
items to those in need who are not in a position to buy things
themselves. Erica has collected all types of clothing. She has
scarves, hats, gloves and even things like baby blankets and
bedding. She has donated to folks at the SVDPP Soup Kitchen,
Bethsaida's Katie Blair house, the Madonna Place, the St.
Mark's Interfaith Luncheon attendees and many other families
that she has met through Craigslist and FreeCycle.
Erica is always accepting donations of clean clothing for the
closet. Items can be dropped off at the church anytime for her
to sort and put away. Thanks.
Looking For Something That Will
Have Lasting Significance?
Would you like to get involved in Habitat for
Humanity and make a difference in the life of a
family here in Southeastern Connecticut?
Amanda Duntz is the volunteer coordinator for
Habitat and if we had a group that would like
to help, she could arrange for us to host the
mandatory safety class here at church. Then
we could sign up and work on any of the
current builds in southeastern Connecticut.
Talk to Amanda or Pastor Lord if you want to
know more.
Would you like to become a mission partner with Rick and Mercy Barnes in Mexico? We are looking for 12 families who will give a gift of $50 to directly support the ministry in Northern Mexico. Your gift will help Mercy and Rick continue the great work they are doing. Speak to the Pastor if you want to accept the challenge and take a month in the coming year.
